Postgraduate Diploma in Energy and Environment

The Department of Science is offering a postgraduate programme in the area of energy and environmental studies. The Postgraduate Diploma in Energy and Environment (PGDEEN) allows students who have just completed a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Environmental Science to gain a higher qualification.

This programme consists of four semester-based courses (120 credit points) and will take one year to complete. The courses comprise one compulsory course, one elective course and two courses chosen from

 

Compulsory course
REE400 Research Methods in Energy and Environment
Plus any one course from the following list:
REE401 Utilization of Renewable Energy Resources
REE402 Climate Change and Environment
REE403 Environment and Energy Policy
as well as any two courses from the following list:
REM400 Renewable Energy Technologies I
REM401 Renewable Energy Technologies II
REM402 Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development
REM404 Renewable Energy Technologies III

 

Entry Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree including Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Environmental Science, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, etc. from a recognized institution with a good grade point average (GPA).
