Art and Climate Change Mitigation
The Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) has reached an exciting stage, with final evaluations underway for the two shortlisted designs in collaboration with key stakeholders, including
leaders from Marou Village.
The prototypes will soon open to the public through May 2026, offering a powerful glimpse into climate-responsive, community-driven design.
The University of Fiji is proud to be strongly represented in this transformative initiative. SOST is equally proud to have been part of this initiative since the inception of the LAGI project in
Fiji. From serving as jurors during Phase One to now actively contributing to the evaluation of the prototype designs, our involvement reflects a continued commitment to advancing innovation at the intersection of art, community, and climate resilience. We invite you to visit, explore, and share your thoughts on the two winning designs: “The O” and “Ligavatuvuce.”
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from SOST!
