Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme

The MBA Programme at the University of Fiji is designed to develop participants’ skills for specialised executive positions in public and private sectors in a global environment. The programme will also benefit those wishing to be successful entrepreneurs. Details of the Programme are as follows:

Trimester 1, 2012 commences on 07 February 2012. Application deadline for Trimester 1 is Saturday, 14 January 2012.

Offered By:   School of Business and Economics
Areas of specialisation:  

MBA in General Management (MBA-GM); MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM); and MBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management (MBA-THM)

Total courses:  

12 courses including 3 courses in respective area of specialisation for the MBA Degree

Diploma/ Certificate:

6 courses for Diploma and 3 courses for Certificate in 3 specialised areas
Delivery of courses:

Face to face by local and international faculty

Time schedule:

After hours including Saturdays

Minimum duration:

1 year, 4 courses per term, and 3 terms in a year for full-time students. Part-time students can take less number of courses per term to complete the programme in a longer timeframe.

Starting date:   7 February 2011
Fee:  

FJD980 per course for regional students

Entry requirement:  

Graduate in any discipline with at least 3 years of supervisory/ managerial experience. Those who are not graduates may also be considered based on their academic background and professional experience. Bridging courses may be required as appropriate for some applicants.

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (Tourism and Hospitality Management)

Minimum two specialized courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management from MBA435,  MBA437, and MBA441; and remaining four courses from the list of MBA courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management.

 

Postgraduate Certificate Programme

Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (General Management)

Any three courses from the list of MBA courses in General Management

Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Human Resource Management)

Minimum one specialized course in Human Resource Management from MBA422, MBA 424, and MBA425; and remaining two courses from the list of MBA courses in Human Resource Management.
